Rørosfisk offers wild-caught inland fish from some of Norway’s cleanest and most pristine mountain lakes. Rooted in the traditions of Røros and guided by deep respect for nature, we deliver whitefish (sik) and roe of exceptional quality – gently harvested, locally processed, and built on a foundation of sustainability.

Our fishing takes place in clear mountain lakes in and around Røros – an area of outstanding natural value and a long cultural history. Røros is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which commits us to careful stewardship and long-term management of natural resources.
Pure water creates pure fish. You can taste the difference.
Wild Fish – Not Farmed
Rørosfisk works exclusively with wild inland fish. The whitefish grows naturally at its own pace, without feed, medication, or artificial intervention. The result is a true natural product with firm texture, clean flavor, and high nutritional value.

Behind Rørosfisk is founder and fisherman Bjørn Sandnes – a hands-on professional with deep knowledge of inland fisheries and profound respect for nature. With his hands in the water and his eyes on the future, he carries forward a tradition where quality, integrity, and responsibility go hand in hand.
